The Prince Study - Progress to date
Data collection and analysis
Data collection for the PRINCE Study has now been completed. Data analysis is in progress.
Current status - May 2011
- Development, revision and publishing of Structured Education Material (with support from Pfizer) took place May 2008 – May 2009
- Piloting of PRINCE Study December 2008 – March 2009
- Recruitment of GP practices (32) and participants took place from April 2009 – August 2010
- Baseline Data Collection September 2009 – August 2010 (phased)
- Randomisation to control and intervention arms took place between October 2009 – August 2010 (phased)
- Practice Nurse and Physiotherapist Preparation training took place – October 2009 – September 2010 (phased in line with randomisation)
- Final follow up data was collected from intervention and control groups in February-May 2011 - Follow-up data included quantitative (Health Assessments), qualitative (interviews and surveys) in addition to Cost Analysis data (Health Utilisation and EQ-5D) – see outcome measures in PRINCE Study Design.
Data analysis and reporting in progress May 2011.
